How does bio-renewable spray foam insulation compare to petroleum based spray foam insulation?

Aloha Energy’s bio-renewable spray foam produces significantly less effect on the environment. Its use of castor bean oil, sugar, soy and oil from the shells of cashew nuts in place of petrochemicals reduces its carbon footprint. Using water as the “blowing agent” as opposed to petrochemical based blowing agents results in lower effective greenhouse gas emissions, increased pre-installation product stability at a wider range of temperatures and a longer shelf life.
